The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Torta Ahogada, a sumptuous sandwich that provides an explosion of flavors. Priced at just $10.99, it invites diners to customize their experience with a side of spicy sauce that ranges from piquant to fiery. The ability to control the heat is a hit among customers, as reflected in Wendy Contreras' passionate description of it: "OMG, Bomb." It's clear that each bite is an orchestration of taste, texture, and spice, creating a memorable dining experience.
In addition to the famed tortas, the menu boasts a variety of other delightful dishes. Consider indulging in tacos de papa, a crispy potato taco for just $1.75, or savor the robust flavors of taco de barbacoa at $2.99. It's the kind of menu that keeps you coming back, as Tony Luquin attests, noting that his experiences over the years have always been "bomb."
However, Tortas Ahogadas La Ramadita isn't just about food; it's about the atmosphere. This spot has a bit of a nostalgic charm, with customers recalling their visits from years past. Just Passing By emphasized the exceptional customer service, recalling how even after closing, the staff graciously made an exception to serve them. “ Always a pleasure coming here....been coming to this place for years n always bomb... ”
“ OMG, Bomb. Just f**king bomb. They need a bigger place to fit more clientele but other than that, BOMB. They give you the sauce on the side so that you can add it to your torta yourself. Its real spicy so you have to do it to how you like it. I put it all in there...soooo good. Also try the tacos de barbacoa. Theres nothing else like it and if there is, LET ME KNOW! ”
“ Used to come here in the early 2000's. The flavors are still as good and the quality is too. Customer service is awesome. They had just closed but made an exception and served us. Potato tacos with carnitas on top, doused with delicious tomato sauce with flavorful hot salsa. It was the only business in the whole corner, but now they built large buildings so be careful not to miss it because it's pretty small with little parking and an outdoor eating. Be ready as it's cash only. I travel many miles just to eat here. ”
“ So far best ones in the area love them ”
